My Homeschool View

I am blessed with a home that has fabulous views. From the dining room we watch eagles perch on thinly formed ice in the early winter, beavers busily scurry about in the spring, a summer-resident grey heron wait for and pounce on his dinner, and squirrels busily stock up in the fall.
From where I sit in the computer room, I can watch my children dig tunnels in the snowy yard, while skiers glide by on their way to bigger adventures on the lake.

This, however, is not my main view from where I sit. It is not my "homeschool view". I homeschool from the view that my children are God's gift to me and I want to spend these years forming them into the picture that God has destined them to become. I realize that homeschooling is not mandatory in our attempts as parents to create these completed masterpieces; however, I feel blessed to be able to spend these minutes, hours, days, months.... filtering the artistic mediums that form the background to what this picture will become.

I invite you to join me, share in my view, and - perhaps - give me some painting pointers!
